The Different Company

Fragrances that purport to evoke a specific scene or mood never fail to capture my imagination. And TDC's Sel de Vetiver claims to be inspired by the smell of salt from the sea drying on skin. Hmmm. Well, that's an interesting concept. It doesn't exactly translate for me, though. From this fragrance, my nose gets smoky vetiver, a bit of patchouli, and a hint of grapefruit. It's an interesting combination-a bit too tarry for my liking. But I could see a man pulling this one off well.
The Different Company fragrances are available at a number of places, including Luckyscent and Beauty Habit. The 90 ml bottles cost $150.
